You have underpair, but board not only has one over card, but also has draws.
If you are in position, they check to you, what will you do?
If you are out of position, what you gona do?

but if there is an obvious draws, it is a tough spot and it happens a lot in
cash game as well.
the problems for this type situation are:
1) pot is too big for your weak hand after the flop
2) 3 way pot, the pot is somewhat protected
3) there are draws on board, if you get semi bluffed, you might still have
to lay down
4) if you are out of position then it is a true nightmare.
I will check fold a lot if i am out of position, unless i know | y********n 发帖数: 2063 | 3 it is queen high with flush board. Very easily get bluff raised, since you
do not have queen, or flush, you will fold.
If you bet, you will get bluffed a lot.

| W********m 发帖数: 7793 | 4 not a good spot to be in obviously. you still need to play poker with it
even though most of the time you will be check folding. I will be more willing to play this in position. But do you really want to start a raising war for your tournament life with a middle pair? If not, if they raise on flop, you probably can only fold. Or 3 bet flop and fold if you are creative. bet check call is not a bad approach where you might just get enough bluffs on river to be profitable. I would suggest to make | s*********k 发帖数: 1989 | 5 What happened at the end (this hand is not posted completely).

M = (your chips) / (current level SB+BB+antes).
it's an indicator of how many rounds you can survive without playing a hand
AND assuming blinds don't go up again.
