indeed, it's a very dangerous sign or pattern which i might not realize on
this level before. it's defintely more dangerous than a check-raise on flop
or river, and tells a few things:
1) his hand is so strong, and he can afford to give you a "free" turn card;
2) or he catches a great turn card, and wants to build a bigger pot;
3) he wants you to call and have a tougher decision on river;
4) he thinks he knows your hand range pr | k***n

发帖数: 15860 | 3 yeah, it's defintely more real and dangerous than, say, flop or river check
raise, because:
1) flop check raising range is wider, since some ppl, say who got TT, might
check raise a typical c-bettor's AKo on a J77 flop if he believes the AKo
guy misses. or, he might check raise a TPTK hand against draws;
2) river check raising is kind of risky (to lose potential value) since all
cards are dealt (less suspense), scared hands may just check down, missed
hands may bluff but not that often, TPTK han

发帖数: 7793 | 4 It is harder (much less odds) to call check raise turns with draws. If you
have straight flush draws, you can reraise all in on flop when raised, but
at turn that is a -EV move for sure and you have to lay it down.
check raise turn also risks giving the other player a free turn card for draw. It works best against player that likes to semi-bluff on turn. |
