Two masked men were shot during an attempted robbery at a Super K store
along Beechnut near Jorine on July 13, 2015.
UPDATE: Late Monday, police officials confirmed the two individuals had died
at the hospital.
A clerk at a southwest Houston convenience store shot a pair of suspected
robbers who tried to hold up the family business, officials said.
Houston police said at least two masked men stormed the Super K store about
6 p.m. Monday along Beechnut near Jorine. They pistol-whipped one of the
clerks, who later had to go to the hospital.

Another worker was in the back of the store at the time. He came out and saw
the armed robbers, police said.
The worker opened fire, striking at least two of them. The robbers fled the
scene in a car, possibly a tan Pontiac.
Police at the scene said the two wounded robbery suspects were apparently
dropped off at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital by the others and are not
expected to survive.
The owner said HPD officers told him the robbery suspects are thought to be
linked to other such crimes.
"They robbed a meat market and then they came here," said owner Alden Tu.
Tu said the second time his store has been robbed in the past two weeks.
"They parked the car right there (in front of the store) and then they ran
right in," he said. "There are all kind of problems here."
Police late Monday did not have a detailed description of the other
suspected robbers. |
