最近要搬到dallas去工作了。估计有一个礼拜左右的时间找房。
请问Carrollton和north irving附近那里租房比较好？安全第一。如果有可能，也挺想
找个女室友。

发帖数: 662 | 2 据我的了解，Carrollton和north irving附近租房的老中比较少。
具体要看你在达拉斯哪个地方和你的生活习惯，其实达拉斯就有好的选择。
如果真要在Carrollton和north irving附近住，那么至少有以下几个选择。如果不想找
apartment locator 或者 broker 的话，建议你本人开车到那里踩盘，会有很多房子在
租。
一，如果打算自己做晚餐，又偏好中餐，可以考虑在 Josey Ln 和 Keller Springs Rd
（in Carrollton）的附近。靠近华人、韩国的超市，兼有便当可买。租价适中，
二，Las Colinas (in Irving)， 635 和 MacArthur Blvd 向南。 优点：环境优美，
社区安全，配套设施应有尽有。缺点：老中租房极少，附近没有华人超市或饭店，价格
贵。
三，Valley Ranch (in Irving）， 635 和 MacArthur Blvd.向北。优点：close to
everything
缺点：社区安全。缺点：距离达拉斯较远，租金较高，老印多。

1. Generally speaking, rent on the north side of irving is going to be more
expensive than the south side, but the north side is also a nicer&safer
place to live.
2. avoid the south side of irving at all cost. even though the rent might
be cheaper, but it is not worth to risk your safety just to save a couple
hundred dollars on the rent each month. Plus, you are planning to find a
roommate anyway, so your rent will be split in half.
3. If your work is located in irving, i would suggest you to stay in irving,
mainly b/c of the traffic in dallas; driving on 635 during rush hours is
not fun, especially now, the road construction thats going on! the toll way
has less traffic, but you also have to pay for it. from plano to irving
will cost you over 3 bucks one way if you take the george bush toll way.
4. if you do decide to stay on the north side of irving or carrollton area,
for a bedroom apt in a decent neighborhood, your rent will be close to 1k a
month. On the other hand, besides the fact that you won't found that many
chineses living around the area, i have found irving is a very convenient
place to live, you will find lots of restaurants, grocery stores, everything
you need to make your life comfortable.
lz, 俺觉得吧找房子这种事情需要自己来这边看房子，然后决定。 如果时间允许的话
，多看几家，然后决定。当然找所谓的apt locator也应该会有帮助，但有些apt不接受

meets all of your criterions. as for 附近那里租房比较好, north irving is a
decent place to live and there are plenty of apts down there. but on
average, the rent will also be a little more expensive, around 1k a month
for a one bedroom.
而且找apt也要碰，就算你找个你自己认为不错的apt, 搬进去以后，旁边的邻居特别吵
