In the role, the Candidate will be responsible for the Site’s Turnaround
and Major Capital Projects for a large Energy Complex. The Candidate will
be working with both Company employees and contractors to effectively
execute both Capital Projects and Turnarounds at the Site.
Requirements:
•Must be a US Citizen or have a US Green Card.
•Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
•Minimum twenty (20) years or more of refinery project/turnaround
management experience.
•Candidates must be experienced Manufacturing professionals with 20 or
more years of experience, including successful engineering assignments
including one as the key Turnaround or Maintenance Manager at a mid to large
scale refinery or chemical plant is required.
•Experience is with turnarounds in excess of $50MM.
•Held one or more of the following positions in refining or chemicals
•Maintenance Superintendent or Manager
•Construction and Maintenance Superintendent or Manager
•Turnaround Manager
•Candidates that are working for E&C companies will not be considered
for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Accountable to know what industry accepted "Best in Class" is, driving
towards that level of performance, including annualized cost, duration, and
scoping. This includes identifying and sponsoring capital projects to
improve the maintainability of the units.
· Works closely with the Site T/A Team to ensure that appropriate
resources are dedicated to the planning and execution of the High Complexity
TA.
· Accountable for the safety performance of all personnel on
assigned events.
· Responsible for delivery of the T/A event within approved
premises.
· Delivery includes predictability within a competitive cost
structure
· Development of premises for assigned turnaround and delivery of
those premises, including proposed turnaround duration and cost targets and
gap to potential closure plans.
· Actively contributes and sponsors the development of the
turnaround contracting strategy.
· Ensures that consistent planning premises are incorporated into
the planning process estimating tools, productivity factors, etc.
· Incorporates best practices and learning's from previous events.
· Development of the staffing plan to plan and execute the assigned
turnaround.
· Ensure all scope is captured – maintenance, local and major
capital projects, turnaround projects, and other program work (CUI, PMI, etc
.) – and integrated into a single schedule for execution, risk assessed

Responsibilities:
The Senior Process Engineering Consultant (Subject Matter Expert) serve as
the technical expert as it relates to Coking Units to our Client’s
Manufacturing assets in the U.S.
Specific Focus
