Meteorologist at Fox 26 News Houston
Jim holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist accreditation from the
American Meteorological Society and is the chief meteorologist for KRIV Fox
26 News. Jim has been an adjunct faculty member teaching meteorology,
geology, geography, the earth sciences and environmental science for several
universities and colleges. Jim has also been the director of operations for
a meteorological consulting firm focused on the energy markets and
forecasting for oil and gas traders. He published several articles and
papers on the relationships between weather and energy markets including a
cover story for Pipeline & Gas Journal titled, “How Weather Reporting
Affects Petroleum Prices.” More recently, as a co-founder of Dynamic
Measurement, LLC (DML), Jim provides the link between tearth processes such
as weather and lightning, and geology along with natural resource
