1. Dallas Arboretum. If you want to take them somewhere outside to run
and play and have a BEAUTIFUL view and take your camera for some AWESOME
photo-ops then I'd suggest the Dallas Arboretum. Pack a lunch and have lunch
on the grounds overlooking White Rock Lake. When the kids are done eating
they can roll down the hill then run back up and do it again. Lots of stuff
here for the kids.
2. Dallas Aquarium. Located near the West End in Downtown Dallas. Penguins,
alligators, sharks, turtles, ducks, flamingos, all kinds of fish, birds, etc
.
3. Ride the trolley on McKinney Ave. Not a long ride but something different
. Some neat shops and restaurants around this area. Just on the north edge
of downtown so you could easily combine this w/ the Aquarium and they would
NOT be worn out silly.
4. Ft Worth Zoo. It is very nice but if your not going to be over in Ft
Worth then just go to the Dallas Zoo - it has improved a lot over the years.
5. Dallas Zoo. Depending on where your staying you can hope on a DART train
and take that to the zoo EASY! The last stop on the south side of Dallas is
the zoo. They have a monorail that the kids love. A great kids area w/ hands
on petting areas.
6. State Fair of Texas. You did not say when you were coming but if you will
be here during the State Fair it is a MUST! It is located at Fair Park in
Dallas. Kids of all ages have a blast here. Sept 28-Oct 21, 2007 - BigTex.

7. RoughRiders Baseball Game. The Frisco RoughRiders play at a very kid
friendly stadium in Frisco right by Stonebriar Mall.
8. Mall. Now, yes our malls have things for kids. LOL!!!

Outdoor mall w/ an outdoor play area for the kids.
9. 4th of July events all over town. These events will be in different
locations all over the metroplex on the weekends prior and after the 4th and
on the 4th. Star Spangled Fourth 2006 - City of Garland
10. Rockwall. If your in the Rockwall area then check out Harry Myers Park
and their water area. Free. It is more of a splash area. They also do free
movies and concerts in the park on I believe Thursdays nights.
11. The city of Richardson has a GREAT waterpark/splash park for little ones
. This is totally geared to the little kids. Public park so a small entrance
fee.
12. The city of Allen has an indoor/outdoor waterpark too. This one has
stuff for all ages.
13. Hawaiian Falls Waterpark in Garland. Hawaiian Falls
GREAT area for the little kids w/ slides and things to climb on. The lazy
river is good too for little kids as is the new wave pool. I'd do this
before somewhere like Hurrican Harbor.
There are a TON Of things to do in the area w/ little kids.
