HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The city of Houston has been added to the list of cities
enacting mandatory water restrictions due to the ongoing drought
CITY OF HOUSTON
Houston mayor Annise Parker Monday issued mandatory water restrictions for
the city of Houston that include the following:
Repair all detectable leaks within 72 hours of discovery and
Limit outdoor irrigation to the hours between 8pm and 10am on NO more than
two days per week according to the following schedule:
Sundays and Thursdays for customers with even-numbered street addresses
Saturdays and Wednesdays for customers with odd-numbered street
addresses
The city says failure to follow requirements may result in fines.
"While these restrictions are mandatory, we will begin with warnings and an
informational campaign because the goal is voluntary compliance," said Mayor
Parker. "For those who insist on not being good neighbors, citations will
follow."
According to a release, the city is also taking steps to conserve, including
the following:
Suspension of any scheduled window washing
Suspension of any scheduled power washing of buildings, sidewalks and
parking areas
Discontinue washing city vehicles or equipment except for health, safety or
critical maintenance reasons
Order an audit of all irrigation systems for leaks to ensure proper
operation of timers and sprinkler heads.
LEAGUE CITY
League City has banned watering lawns. Also, you cannot wash your vehicles
or refill pools. Even restaurants are being told not to give water by the
glass to customers, unless the customer requests it. Those caught violating
this order could face up to a $500 fine. See what is prohibited under the

GALVESTON
The city of Galveston is now prohibiting all outdoor watering. The City has
enacted modified Stage 2 mandatory water restrictions. Irrigation of
landscaped areas with potable water is prohibited, as well as the use of
automatic sprinkler systems, hoses, and hand-held watering devices to
irrigate landscaped areas using potable water. All residents and businesses
in the City of Galveston must comply with these restrictions, which will
continue until further notice. Violating water use restrictions could result

THE WOODLANDS
On Thursday, the Woodlands' MUDs notified residents that it has gone
straight from Stage 1 to Stage 3 of its drought contingency plan. What that
means for residents in The Woodlands is that lawn watering restrictions are
mandatory. Residents can water no more than twice a week. Those living at
odd number addresses can water on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Those with even
number addresses can water on Thursdays and Sundays. Restaurants are being
asked to serve water only upon request. See what is prohibited under The

MORE RESTRICTIONS

我家已经够省水的了。孩子洗澡剩下的水，先用来拖地板，拖完地板才拎去浇菜。 |

不过也要看邻居草坪，如果大家都是黄草，就你一家绿油油的，可能会犯众怒。

但是MAYOR PAKER能管不少地方。

浇花和菜园子。

最烦小区强迫种草皮了， 浇水纯浪费水源， 剪草纯污染环境制造噪音， 还得杀蚁杀
虫毒药粉肥料到处飘，就为了看上去好看一点完全是得不偿失， 那些地方本来就不适
合种草。 除了能为老墨多制造点就业机会多养几个非法移民， 别的啥用都没有。
其实这东西就应该有选择权，爱种草皮的种，不爱种的加点钱直接用水泥或沥青封了。
