就用了写FE的那个人写的PE书。

找到了FE的考试复习资料了，
我想考Petroleum Engineering的professional engineer，不过好像没找到相关的备考
资料，mechanical engineer，EE, 什么的资料倒看到不少，不知道有没有前辈被考过
Petroleum的PE。

可以问问你备考的是什么专业方向的PE? 我想找找petroleum engineering的PE的备考
资料。
还有一个问题，4年工作经验是不是说必须有4年工作经验才行啊？ 有别的可以折算成
工作经验的不？
我看到我们学校一个新faculty（刚毕业的那种）就是PE了，查查他的简历也没看到他
工作过啊。

发帖数: 5610 | 7 每个州对工作经验的要求不一样。德州的好像在大学里教书的博士可以免考就给发PE
License的。硕士学位可以抵一年工作经验，博士就不知道了。
Petroleum的PE好像考的人不多, 一年只可以考一次。我以前考的是化工的。
Lindeburg本人是机械的背景，买他写的非机械PE的书要注意了。

1) one offered by A&M but I didn't know the details
2) one offered by WINROCK Engineering Inc. Bing Wines offers this 5-day
course twice each year in Houston. Highly recommend this one.
There is one Petroleum Engineering PE sample exam book. Besides those, no
other courses and preparation books are available. |

哦，我是先打算考FE，然后考PE的考试。TX的好像还要靠一个什么ethic的考试，不知
道这个是不是一定要上课拿到credit之后才可以考的。

那个ethics考试是申请考PE资格的时候考的，开卷考，很容易，不用上课。

exam?
Would you be in a better position to serve the company when you possess a PE
license? If so, why not just have a casual chat with your boss about your
short-term or maybe mid-term personal development plan which includes a PE
license?
Once s/he agrees, you can bring out your FE plan and try to get his/her
support which includes company paying for FE classes and the testing fee.
You need to get a good story line and wear your boss' shoes before talking
to them.

我打算等手头上的项目完成后准备好点然后给他们谈谈看能不能得到他们的支持，能得
到最好了，目前的打算是先把FE考掉，过几年后考PE。
