标 题: ex manager打电话要我spend一个小时告诉他们我原来一些files在哪里

都已经在新公司上班一个星期了，原来的manager打电话过来说有些files找不到了，让
我去帮忙找出来，顺便请我吃顿饭。
这两个公司是直接竞争对手。我其实挺无所谓回去帮他们找一下，毕竟是他们的东西。
但不知道请问这种情况合不合法？还有需要让现在的manager知道么？ |

发帖数: 55 | 3 就是让我onsite去帮他们找几个我做的script files，比较重要。我当时是塞在几个文
件夹里，可能他们找不到了。

道是不是competitors会比较敏感，就好象shell对chevron一样。我觉得也不好直接问

说实话，这个问题我觉得比较tricky，我不清楚你们两家公司的情况到底是什么，还有
你现任老板是什么样的人。不定因素很多，你自己要多考虑一下。

have some close friends at the previous job, why not ask them to locate the
file for you? personally i don't think it's a big deal. just don't let ex-m get used to it. |

，meeting记录会给我一份留底。另外他也说我obliged to provide those
information，如果不提供，将保留sue我的权利。看来是不是不去不行啊。

但是这件事，不是你一厢情愿想帮就能帮的
最好和你现在的公司把情况说一下

发帖数: 359 | 11 this is getting ridiculous. never heard of an ex-employee is "obliged" to
do anything of this kind. depending on how important it is for you to
maintain a relationship with you ex-m, you may just bluff back that "let me
check with my current hr dept first" then wait for a few days without doing
anything. if ex-m doesn't hassle you again, then it ends there; otherwise,
bluff again with some more excuses like “I am waiting for hr to get back to
me”. after a while, ex-m may either have found those files thru other
channels or lose interest to retrieve them through you. time will cool
things down.
Since ex-m mentioned legal dept, it may be serious (without knowing your ex-
employer/ex-m background, you have to make the judgement yourself). If you
in the end decide to go, you may want to talk to your current hr for advice
first.

发帖数: 55 | 12 我是从lockheed martin到boeing，其实真不是啥机密的东西，老中在那地方能做多机
密的东西呢？ex manager其实小题大作了。主要不是很确定要不要和现在的manager说
，我前两天和他提过LM的legal还要找我让签字一些patent的东西，现在的manager当时
没说什么，但那个还没解决现在来了这么一出，真是头疼。
