unanimously Thursday to extend the school year, and also approved
applying tougher penalties for under-performing teachers.
The policy will extend HISD’s school year from 175 days to 190 days.
The school year would be spread out more, beginning on August 23 and
ending July 28. That means students will have a shorter summer and
winter break.
Superintendent Terry Grier said the new plan will start this fall. As
it stands right now | f*******t 发帖数: 24 | 2 another way of spending more money on low income families, why can't they
just run programs explicitly for them only? why EVERY student has to sit in
the classroom because some of them don't have access to technology/book etc.
