about a jade bangle. Did some research online, I found some were selling at
below $200! I thought jade stuff was really expensive in China, like over $
10k rmb, so I was prepared to see prices here for over $1k, how could jade
here be so cheap? Anyone had any experience and know how to buy jade (i.e.,
not fake)? Any recommendations for reputable jewelry stores? | n***y

翡翠 is the expensive one and it is mainly produced in Thailand.
Normally darker green.
Other types of jade can be cheaper or expensive but most likely what you see
is the cheaper type.
So watch for the crasftsmanship. If it is carved nice, it always worth more
in the long run, like in diamond, cut can be more important than size. | H***s

想在美国买玉首饰，基本就是缅甸玉了，质量好点的叫翡翠。
和田玉在美国基本找不到合适的。
去顶好超市还是惠康超市旁边的那个“玉屋”看看吧，稍微还还价就不吃亏。
对了，网上的玉器不能乱买，很多号称翡翠的都是B货，甚至还有C货。 |
