L***z 发帖数: 454 | 1 I am a baseline player who hates to go to the net. My game depends on a lot
on the rhythm that is generated eventually through hard baseline hitting.
Nowadays I lost a lot of matches with some experienced match players (
generally 4.0-4.5) as their games do not so much depend on rhythm--actually
their games depend on their quest to break an opponent's rhythm. I made lots
of mistakes trying to power back a shoe-lace height short slice, overhead
while my body is still unbalanced, running backwards in order to get a
passing high ball, etc... I am extremely frustrated with these opponents and
often lost confidence or concentration and eventually, even my ground
stroke suffers.
What can I do? How can I be like Federer, crushing all these ugly shots with
style and rhythm? | a***8 发帖数: 2433 | 2
style and rhythm?
If you find out, can you let us know? hehe...

If you don't like to volley:
1. You have to be able to run fast enough to kill short balls/drop shots;
2. you have to have clean overhead smashes;
Do more practice with those inside-the-court position, you will be more
comfortable ...
