better subway/train system than NYC, IMO.

实也就是想问问有啥注意事项和经验，travel版去法国的都不大怎么搭理，因为是个人
都去过了，所以到这来问。
你当时住哪？偶现在要签证，不知道hotel reservation怎么弄，就是那种不一定要确
定的

发帖数: 234 | 4 If you can get around in NYC, you will find it right at home in Paris:) I
stayed in downtown for a couple of days for sight-seeing purpose, because
Paris (city 0f light) is most charming during the night. For FO, no need
to stay around RG at all. In fact, I stayed with a friend in a tiny town
in the suburb of Paris during the FO time. I just took a train to the city
and transfer to Metro very easily like thousands of French ppl do every
day. As far as hotel reservation, I reserved by calling the hotel directly
and the they sent confirmation. hope this helps.

when you called the hotel,
1. they speak english?
2.they didn't ask for your credit card?
3. is the confirmation faxed, mailed or e-mailed?

发帖数: 234 | 6 Yes, hotel front desk clerks speak English. They asked credit card to
guarantee a room. But you can cancel your reservation without any penalty,
be sure to ask the cancellation deadline. Email confirmation is the best.
French people are very relaxed, so if you need a confirmation you will
most likely need to email them instead of waiting.
