Got a New Microgel Prestige Midplus for $99.95 from Golfsmith. Even your
local Golfsmith store went out of stock, you may still be able to get it by
requesting ship to store. They might also have 9/10 condition used one for
less than $80 a piece, not sure what's the exact price though.

$100 for a very good racket. Personally I slightly prefer the feel of the
mid over the mp but the mp is definitely a very solid racket - you really
can't go wrong with either imo.

you should try prestige for sure. I highly recommend it for you too. It's
not as powerful as 6.1 team, but it's one of the best racquet I have found.
I'll probably stick to it for a long time.

same - if you are completely used to Wilson's more square grip, you may find
the Head's weird grip to be a little strange initially.
But I got used to it after a while, and it's a very sweet racket, don't
think I'll be switching for a long time as well.

It's prestige MP. As far as I know.Golfsmith local stores don't usually
carry prestige pro. The price is not listed online or anywhere. It's in
their system. It's a clearance racquet. A while ago, it was still listed as
$140. You got to ask store manager to scan the price if the racquet is in
store, or ask him to search availability in the system. They usually can
request free shipment between stores. Make sure it's the right grip size for
you.

Thanks. There is a 15 off 100 or more also, you can buy string to make it
over 100 to use it. Update: that coupon is for online only seems.
The store close to me only have 1/2 and 1/4, I normally use 3/8, will 1/4 be
too small?

yes, but you can rectify it with something like this:

区别不大，感觉youtek 可能感觉好一点。
但是看URSTA的参数，就觉得差别大
Microgel power 更低， swing 也低

People on TW feel that Youtek is a little stiffer than Microgel, otherwise
there is no big difference. I have owned Liquidmetal Prestige, Flexpoint
Prestige and i.Prestige. Personally I feel Microgel prestige is the best of
all these series. I don't have incentive to try Youtek though. The paint job
of Youtek prestige is just like Liquidmetal prestige.

I tried all of these at one point or another as well, if I were to rank them
in terms of feel:
microgel > iPrestige > flexpoint >= liquidmetal
I really dig the old iPrestige paint job through, very classy.
(sorry I think it was an iPrestige Tour or something that I tried, very nice frame!)
never tried the Youtek but I think it's got an ugly paint job.

I switch a racket. Their grip sizes are different. I have 4 1/4,
4 3/8 and 4 1/2. I feel Wilson's 4 1/4 equals to others 4 3/8.

hehe...if you keep searching for $2 classic racquet from thrift store
without paying attention to fundamentals, such as $1/piece overgrip, your
hand will continue to 磨破. In fact, whenever you get a used/new racquet,
the first thing you should do is to put a new overgrip on it. For me, for
maximum 2 weeks or 5 times play, I need to replace the overgrip. Also
overgrips are different. Some free or cheap ones suck. The best are Wilson
Pro (white), Yonex Supergrap (White) or Tourna Grip (blue). These

find in a racket?
Take your own advice bah - buy a $25 costco wilson and use it until you feel
like the racket itself is holding you back.

The $49.99 Wilson n4 nCode from Costco (under 10oz) has been
holding back since last summer already, hehe. I am eager to
sell it...
Those old craps I bought from thrift stores, although under $10,
were all players rackets back then. They are all heavy and head
light. They feel at least as solid as the Head LM level rackets.

I tried different brands of racquets with different grip shapes. I never got
blisters. If you always use the overgrip that people recommended, you won't
get blisters. It's your choice.

I am still hoping to get $30 back, 555. I will try craiglist.
It does look PP though (with a kick-ass bag) and it's in absolute
perfect condition.
I also need to sell my Head TiS1. Also perfect condition. I even
spent $20 to get it re-strung. Big mistake, //sigh. That racket
just need to touch a ball and the ball will be out...

to worry about THAT racket holding you back, right?

I have this racket ah, actually two, hehe.
Although it's good enough for my level, I am able to tell the
difference between it and a, say, Wilson Mid85 (which should
feel much more similar to a BLX90 than a Head Radical). So
if I like the Wilson Mid more, I may consider to buy a BLX90
in the future. That's the direction I am trying to go.

lol man you must have WAY more rackets than I... Just remember that if you
chase gear too much - it's a slippery slope.
Every year there will be new models - and they will feel 'slightly'
different - even if that difference is 99% psychological.
I've never used the mid85 so I can't comment on it - but I kinda doubt it
will feel similar to the blx90 - if the blx90 is very similar to the k90
then it would feel pretty similar to my ps6.0 - which, judging from the beam
design should be pretty diffe

demo的mgpm很久以前tw上是70还是80来着

Not really leh.
The stores within my reach range just told me they are not in stock then
hung up on me.
I had to call a store two hours away. And i will need my friend there to
pick them up for me.

And i prefer the mid for myself, but looks like golfsmith dont carry that

Got the rackets back. One of it turns out to be demo racket and costs $79,
the other is $99. The demo racket is the last one that has grip size of 3/8.
I cannot find any trace of usage on the demo racket. Guess they changed the
head guard, replacement grip and grommet all together. Seems demo racket is
not bad for its price at all.

You can get $2 Heat Shrink Sleeve from TW. Use a hair dryer and it's very
easy to install. You might want to try the half size one, it will add 0.25
oz. The 1 size one will add 0.5 oz.

I won't recommend buying used racquet from Amazon. When you buy racquet, you
got to see the photos and evaluate its condition.

I told the tennis pro that i need 6, and he told me dont be so greedy, :-)
Then he went to computer and asked other store to ship the other three over
( i was told they were from Montana).
Let's see.
If my LD dont like them, i will let them go, if someone really like it.
I played the mid before, just like my n90, stronger on DHBH, but a little
shaky on the net.
I guess my LD would like them, cause she did well with my N95.

You should try it yourself. Think about Tommy Haas. After he switches to
Microgel Prestige MP, he performed so well in French Open last year. Maybe
if you play with Prestige MP, it can raise your game to the next level.

You are right. I surely will try them.
But i am still more or less an all court player, and need to do more doubles
in the league, so most likely i will stay with my n90 until they are broken.

哈哈。我也搞到一把。不用查价钱，label上都写了99.买了3/8grip的，穿了DUO NXT 1
6的线。一共加税120左右。店里还有两把，不知道谁会买到。
现在用的拍子是ncode 6.2，太轻（9.7oz），拍面也太大了(113 sqin)。bee说的这个正
好符合我的升级计划。在店里用demo拍子试打了几下，很不错。
下午五点钟就能拿到拍子了。哈哈。

推荐一下Prestige MP穿线，最好是穿17 gauge 的线，58磅左右，60磅以上会觉得
Power 太小，16 gauge spin会困难些, 会有些boardy.

Yes, the specification is 98 square inches. Because Head measures frame's
outer circle, it's real head size is 95 square inch, the same as Wilson 6.1
95, but much more comfortable and solid than Wilson 6.1 95.

I dont like th paint job of K90, hehe.
n90的红白搭配比较适合南方的阳光明媚和和煦小风，hoho。
如果黑色的话，还是比较喜欢ps6.0的亚光设计。
当然如果搬去北方打室内，大概可以搞些深色的行头，K90也许可以。
不过等到n90断掉，估计b90也要减价了，那时候FF风光不再，估计价格更低。

Played with Prestige for about 4 hours. Previous I have been using LM
Radical for several years. Here is my feeling:
1. Prestige felt much more stable than Radical. The feeling is very good.
Radical is a little bit too light to handle heavy balls.
2. Prestige is more powerful than Radical (a little bit surprising to me). I
got a lot more balls long at first.
3. Prestige has less spin than Radical (using same string and tension on
both rackets). Maybe it's due to its weight and I need more practi

This one I think is because of the 18x20 string pattern, when I try to kill
a short ball, the ball go out often. I am kind of curious about how the
prestige pro does, never tied it. I know dupont highly recommended it.

It's more about the technique. If you hit windshield wiper modern forehand,
you still can generate tons of spin using 18x20 string pattern racquet,
whether it's from baseline or from mid court position.

Both Radical and Prestige are 18x20 pattern. I don't want 16x19 one because
I don't like stringing too often. I might try Poly strings again. But on
Radical, I tried several and did not like any.
The less spin I felt is not in absolute value. It is more comparative
speaking. Since the prestige generate faster pace, the ball felt flatter.
Mid court hitting, I think it is similar to Radical, but more forgiving.
By the way, switching from Radical to Prestige seems easier. Not many mis-
hits since b
