He did his absolute best. He had his opportunities, but the gap between him
and Federer is very clear after this grueling match.
He will never be able to beat a healthy Federer. Certainly not because he
doesn't try his hardest to improve. But what I think lost him the match was
his far inferior footwork compared to Federer's. This is how Federer can

费德勒从来没破过一个罗迪克的发球局 除了最后一局 连续作战额罗迪克体力不支
罗迪克这个状态是可以赢费德勒的
我觉得今天的比赛虽然可惜 应该给了他很大的信心了
面对战绩一边倒的费德勒 只要自己发挥好点 耐心点 也是能击败对手的 |

I don't think so - Federer has pushed Roddick to deuce points more often
than Roddick did to Federer. It's pretty obvious that Federer can get his
racket on Roddick's faster serve, than Roddick can on Federer's slower serve
. This is simply due to their gap in footwork (and the unlearnable ability
to "read" a serve).
Roddick had his chances, but he didn't fully utilize them. He won a lot of
key points against Murray - this is how he was able to beat Murray despite
having worse overall stat.

的发球局要比罗赢得轻松得多。很为罗可惜，可这就是天分，有时候再努力，也没用。

发帖数: 610 | 7 Agree by some sort. I have the complicated feeling today as well. Sports are
cruel. People only remember the champion. And for the first time, I rooted
for Andy during the super long final set.
Being Roddick is tough. what about being other players? Playing professional
tennis with the best player all time is tough, isn't it? Not to mention
there is Nadal too! These two guys had been dominating most of the grand
slam finals last 2 years...
