topspin creates air pressure towards ground which allows both high ball and
fast ball land inside baseline. so usually topspin players play with several

发帖数: 356 | 2 Acturally, i do think that the backswing is not too long, but too late.
Modern concept is, do back swing when you find the direction of the coming
shots(when the ball left your opponent's rac), not when the ball over the
net(that is already too late). You can hold and wait for a while if the coming
shot is slow.
Also backswing should be go straight, no C curve.
This will help you to get your timing and make you stay in good pace, that
will increase you stability.

Bonechelli(forgot his last name).
anyway, he is talking about he once tone Stefan Edberg for Edberg's second
coming back. Again, i may (must) have mixed up some names and exacts.
anyway, point is that he is talking about the modern game of really compact
and swift (even rushed) back swing and the classic "raise your raq" and wait
for the next shot long swing.
