Date of disposition = Date that stock became worthless.
Gross proceeds = $0
Cost basis = Original Cost basis + any adjustments |

发帖数: 433 | 7 I believe bankruptcy alone is not enough to claim worthless. If the firm is
indeed liquidating, they will send out a form (forgot the name) to notify
all the shareholders. On that form, there will be a date that you can use to
record that "sell".
Otherwise, if you feel confident you can prove to IRS that the stock is
worthless, you should use 12/31 as the selling date. |
