Thank you. I saw your reply in the dual status. My question is: should I
file as dual status or just resident? I saw a post before stating that if I
am married, no need to file dual status for max cash back. Resident is the
best.
Is it true even considering the medicare and ss?
【在 t******t 的大作中提到】 : Yes, please refer to my recent reply to dual status 1040 and 1040NR. : Supplemental statement may be supplied instead of not filing 1040NR in : first year when you become resident for tax purpose.

在你第一页的1040上还要附上1040NR为你NR期间税。这个比较复杂。 |

To make this choice, you must:
1.Be present in the United States for at least 31 days in a row in 2009,
and
2.Be present in the United States for at least 75% of the number of days
beginning with the first day of the 31-day period and ending with the last
day of 2009. For purposes of this 75% requirement, you can treat up to 5
days of absence from the United States as days of presence in the United
States.
我去年10月1号H1B生效,11月28号回国,今年1月才回来。我虽然满足31天的条件,但
是没待够7 |
