provision as quoted below. It seems to me that if I claim treaty then I can
not be treated as a resident alien. Can anyone confirm my point? It will
be wonderful if I can claim both. Thanks.

在Pub 519 P51页针对Teachers,professors and researchers讲说即便是作为resident
也可以继续沿用treaty。
而既然是resident那应该能够享受所有resident能够享受的减免,所以理论上两者应该
可以同时享受。
但是还不知道能否这样理解。

但是在Form 1040 line 39 (b): If your spouse itemizes on a separate return or
you were a dua-status alien, check here. (cannot use standard deduction).
难道不用check 39(b)?? |
