JAKARTA, Indonesia—Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia said it is seeking to
cancel an order for 49 Boeing Co. 737 MAX jets, saying passengers have lost
confidence in the aircraft following two deadly crashes in recent months.
Garuda is the first airline to publicly confirm plans to cancel a 737 MAX
order. Regulators world-wide grounded the 737 MAX jets this month after an
Ethiopian Airlines crash killed all 157 passengers and crew on board.
Garuda’s chief executive I Gusti Ngurah Askhara Danadiputra told The Wall
Street Journal that the airline sent a letter to Boeing Commercial Airplanes
CEO Kevin McAllister to say it wants to cancel MAX orders.
Boeing declined to comment on Garuda’s plans. | s*******7 发帖数: 1302 | | s********i 发帖数: 17328 | 3 说实在的,我要是制造商就不卖给这些航空公司,飞机都不会开,竟让我背黑锅
