years ago a professor at upenn used gene therapy on a girl and the girl died
of the treatment. the professor was then banned from carrying this kind of
research anymore.

就是死马当活马医了，死在病毒和死在化疗下面都差不多 |

I was so impressed by the news, it makes sense.

发帖数: 2408 | 8 不知道你们看的新闻是怎么说的，但我想大概说的是Lentivirus。HIV 属于Lentivirus
的一种，用lenti virus转基因效率非常高。很多基因治疗的临床试验都用到它们。原
因很简单：通过进化，它最拿手的就是将基因转到动物细胞体内。适者生存么。
但是这些virus 已经经过改造，所以并不致病。
打个比方：
有个强盗很会撬锁（侵入细胞），警察学会了他的撬锁技术，但是用来救人。 |
