falling an incredible 7% and well into bear-market territory, down 22% from
its high.
According to Dow Theory, the transports make what the industrials take, so
watching the transports will tell you whether a move in the industrials is
for real. I'd say this one looks real, all right, and suggests the Dow, down
less than 16% from its 2011 high, could have further to fall.
Then again, the Dow transports were at a record high just a month ago,
foretelling nothing of the horrific drop that followed, so maybe they're not
