TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan said on Tuesday that the risk of a nuclear leakage
was rising at its quake-stricken power plant on the northeast coast and
warned any people within a 30 km radius to stay indoors.
Prime Minister Naoto Kan told a news conference that radioactive levels
around the Fukushima Daiiichi complex were now high and said authorities
were doing their utmost to prevent leaks from the reactor from spreading. |
