bid to speed the toppling of Col. Gadhafi, Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton said on Sunday.
On Sunday, two U.S. senators called on the Obama administration to give more
aid to opposition forces in Libya, including weapons.
In addition to humanitarian assistance for the rebels, "I would provide them
with arms," said Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent from Connecticut, on
CNN.
Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.), called for greater aid to Libyan opposition
forces but stopped short of saying the U.S. military should join the fray.
