it can be more than 100% if institutional owner own the stock both be
counted as insider (if more than 10%) or outsider (count into float).
I guess the implication is the stock is owned primarily by institutional
owner.

152% float holding possibly means it is highly shorted. If it is the case,
bankruptcy is not far.

shorted. Short ratio is 31% as in mid July.
what I don't understand is why there are so many short orders. The stock
looks perfectly fine to me: DSW The firm has no long term debt, current
ratio is good, and a lot of cash on hand.

short interest. I have other shoe stocks. Shoe sector has be performing
well for more than one year.
