WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--U.S. regulators will announce Monday that they plan
to fine Toyota Motor Corp. (TM, 7203.TO) $16.4 million for allegedly hiding
pedal problems from safety regulators, in what would be by far the largest
civil penalty ever imposed against an auto maker. The fine, the maximum
allowed under law, would be for failing to notify regulators |
