be exercised, because by doing that the call holder is giving up the time
value.

So suppose xyz reaches strike prices 2 months before expired date(
significant amount of time).
In such situation, call holder will not excerice, right?
He may hold or sell his call, right?
Until the call itself price is lower than his buy_in price, and xyz is
uppper than strike price, he will excercise, am I right?

date. They simply sells the call out right, preventing from losing time
value.
The call sellers and buyers do not have one to one relationship, they all
sell and buy from the Option House, so even in rare case someone exercise
his call early, the Option House will randomly assign it to a call seller. |
