The underlying assumption is that the "undervalue" stocks will eventually
come back.
My own experiences: I started at DOW14000, my account was even when DOW at
12500, lost > 50% at DOW 6500, and recovered around DOW 9500. In the process
, I made many many huge mistakes (including almost all in around DOW 10000
on the way down). Otherwise I will be much better off.

I bought MTL for less tha $3, WX for about $5, PRGN for $3 , LDK calls at $4
