Data Scientist Consultant
Description
GRADE LEVEL: II
1. Must be hands-on
2. Working experience in statistical modeling and advanced analytics in a
financial service company, preferably have the work experience in
statistical modeling and analytics for Consumer and Small Business lending.
Successfully developed & implemented statistical models.
3. Master or PhD degree in a field where there is heavy training in
quantitative methods such as Statistics, Economics, Computer Science,
Operations Research, Engineering.
4. Must be detail-oriented and interested in applying quantitative methods
to solving business problems.
5. Evidence showing high potential and taking progressive roles in the
company worked
6. Experience with Consumer and Small Business lending modeling and
analytics
Job responsibility
• Develops predictive models for key decisions in prospect
target, credit approval and account management.
• Develops model-based strategies in approving applications,
pricing and initial line assignment.
• Assesses the risk of new and ongoing credit products and
portfolio strategies through the application of advanced data-driven
analysis and predictive modeling.
• Continuously develops, implements and tests new origination
and account management strategies to proactively improve risk-adjusted
profitability and return on capital.
• Develops, implements and maintains predictive models,
scores and systems for automated decision-making including approval, line
assignment, risk-based pricing, renewal criteria, and fraud control and
collection management
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
5+ years experiencs in financial industry.
Professinal in Statistical Modeling, SAS & SQL
Strong demonstrated skills in data cleansing, data gathering, databases, SQL
, creation of predictor variables, implementations of models, and tracking
model-related performance
Strong analytical skills
Hands-on knowledge of data analysis and modeling tools and software
In-depth working knowledge of data structures, data analysis and predictive
modeling using Logistic or OLS regressions
Strong knowledge of financing industry,scorecard development, performance
measurement, and business intelligence software solutions such as
Ability to work with business partners to communicate the applications and
benefits of using predictive models to automate decisions accurately and
efficiently
Presentation and communication skills
Influencing Skills
Strong Business acument
Master in statistics or quantitative field is required, and Ph.D is strongly
