Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, plus 2+ years of
predictive modeling experience required; Ph.D. or equivalent research
experience preferred.
Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills.
Proficiency in statistical and analytic software packages such as SAS or R;
knowledge of other statistical and database tools desirable.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for writing reports/
proposals and making presentations, in particular the ability to clearly and
effectively communicate technical results to a non-technical business
audience.
Experience with very large analysis datasets and Enterprise-scale database
systems.
Ability to perform high-level work both independently and collaboratively as
a project team member or leader.
Basic knowledge of insurance principles, underwriting and ratemaking
concepts and the various functions of an insurance organization, including
Finance, Underwriting, Sales and Claims desirable.
