Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, a dynamic biomedical research
institute devoted to curing respiratory disease, is seeking a full-time
Associate Research Scientist in biostatistics or statistics to model
complicated biomedical questions related to Toxicology, Genetics and
Epigenetics, Immunology, Applied Life Sciences and Toxicology, Cancer
Biology, Pathophysiology, COPD, Infectious Diseases, Chemistry and Exposure,
and Lung Fibrosis.
Minimum Requirements
PhD in statistics or biostatistics that includes a minimum of two
years directly related experience in biomedical research fields.
Must be proficient in R.
Possess necessary statistical knowledge such as ANOVA, linear
regression, logistic regression, survival analysis, design of experiments
and implement modeling in SAS.
Bioinformatics skills to deal with high dimensional data sets such
as expression and methylation arrays are desired.
Capable to draft SAP (Statistical Analysis Plan) for grants and
proposals.
Excellent communication skills and capability to develop new
modeling based on research questions.
Provide supervision for a junior biostatistician.
Preference will be given to candidates with an understanding of toxicology,
biology, and genetics.
