Experience and/or Competencies Required
•At least seven (7) years professional experiences in Epidemiology and
/or PRO assessment, psychometric validation applied in an Industry, Academic
or Research setting, with experience in Asia-Pacific preferred
•Goodunderstanding of Drug Development and opportunities for
Epidemiology/PRO to contribute innovative solutions in drug developmentand
in Asia-Pacific
•Experience leading, developing and managing staff at multiple
locations
•Experience managing complex projects with external vendors under
short timelines
•Overseeing communication of scientific issues and programs,
internally and externally
•Experience working with key opinion leaders, health authorities,
academics, investigators and vendors
•Ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams to achieve maximum
performance
•Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to
communicate effectively to internal and external audiences
•Mandarin Chinese language proficiency is preferred
•Fluent in English language; Ability and flexibility in working within
a matrix organization; demonstrates positive outlook
•Have the personal style, character and record of achievement to
establish credibility with senior management, peers and reports
•Uncompromising ethics and integrity
Position Purpose
The Asia-Pacific Head of EpiPRO leads a team of Asia-Pacific EpiPRO
scientists to design and/or review epidemiology and patient-reported
outcomes (PRO) studies, and generates and interprets quantitative evidence
on natural history of disease, treatment patterns, potential safety signals,
and patient perspectives to strengthen decision-making and minimize risk
throughout research and all phases of development.
