z**********i 发帖数: 88 | 1 I am trying to run linear regression with the factor as the dependent
variable. This factor was obtained from factor analysis.
________________________________________________________________________
1. There are 10 variables var1 through var10, each variable has 7 categories
. Below is the format:
1="Disagree very much"
2="Disagree"
3="Somewhat disagree"
4="Neutral"
5="Somewhat agree"
6="Agree"
7="Agree very much";
These 10 variables are highly correlated.
2. Factor analysis comes up with 3 factors.
Var1, var2, var3 have the largest load on Factor 1, and I name factor 1 as
“would you like to participate the study if it is doctor’s recommendation
”.
Below has the mean min and max of factor 1 score.
N Mean Std Dev Minimum Maximum
------------------------------------------------------------------
72 -1.4803E-16 0.9833373 -2.0420916 2.4794342
------------------------------------------------------------------
3. I want to run linear regression with factor 1 be the dependent variable.
How should I interprete the model?
Say my model is:
Factor1=0.3+1.5Gender (1=female 0=male and male is reference).
Can I say that female is more like to participate the study if it is doctor
’s recommendation than male? The average score of female is 1.5 higher than
male.
Now we see that the score of factor 1 has negative values, how do we explain
these negative values?
Thank you very much! |
