w***c 发帖数: 68 | 1 I often uses ANOVA to compare means, or to test if a factor affects the
results (on mean) significantly. How do I compare if variability is
significant or not?
For example, 3 labs measure drug A concentration in 12 samples in duplicates
. I set up ANOVA to test if the mean concentrations are significantly
affected by the factor lab (fixed) and sample (random). But what about the
repeatability or variability, i.e. are measurements within one lab more
variable than within other labs? What test do I use?
Thank you soo much! | h*****9 发帖数: 8 | 2 Maybe you should't do that if you use ANOVA
The one basic assumption to use ANOVA is that we assume the variance is
equal among groups.
I don't know if I understand your question in the right way... | w***c 发帖数: 68 | 3 Yes, you did.
Putting ANOVA aside, what test could I use to compare within-group
variability? Is there a variance equivalent to multiple comparison of group
means?
thank you!
