Assistant/Associate Professor

The Department of Neurological Surgery at UCSF is seeking a
biostatistician to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be
appointed at the Assistant or Associate Professor level depending upon
qualifications.
Applicants must possess a strong interest and experience in
biostatistics and research in the areas of cancer and clinical trials.
This position will collaborate in research conducted by the faculty in
the department, especially within the Brain Tumor Research Center, and
will also participate in general support of Cancer Research through
participation in the Cancer Center Biostatistics Core. The candidate
would be expected to serve as a research mentor for residents,
postdoctoral fellows, and clinical fellows within the Department; and
would also be actively engaged in University and public service
consistent with their assignments.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biostatistics or other related field;
expertise in biostatistical methodology applicable to medical research;
experience and knowledge in protocol development and design of data
analysis for cancer clinical trials; and the ability to do collaborative
research with laboratory scientists and epidemiologists as well as
clinicians.
