looking for a highly analytical, motivated, self-driven
individual with strong background in statistics with a passion for
developing forecast models, inventory optimization and data mining.
This position will be responsible for managing global service parts
forecast for each location. The business challenge to increase
customer satisfaction while optimizing inventory requires someone with
great passion for numbers and statistical analysis. This position will
offer an exciting work environment, cross-functional exposure and
opportunity to make an impact on customer satisfaction and cost saving
by building new processes and solutions for Retail Service parts
planning.
Key responsibilities
- Owner of Monthly Forecasting Cycle.
- Analyze, Develop and apply Forecast models to monthly cycles using
SAP APO and other Analytical tools
- Develop global service parts forecasting models.
- Track & Improve Forecast Accuracy.
- Analyze, data-mine historical data to develop life-cycle curves and/
or forecast models
- Analyze, data-mine historical data to identify parts with similar
life-cycle and assign appropriate forecast model
- Analyze impact of seasonality and other business events on demand
pattern
- Analyze historical data to identify and fix data integrity issues.
- Manage demand forecast for one or more region.
- Drive system improvements to further drive forecast accuracy
- Participate in projects as the Demand Forecasting Subject Matter
Expert.
- Derive Safety Stock based on forecast accuracy and target customer
service level
- Optimize Safety Stock based on forecast accuracy.
- MS/PhD in Applied Statistics, Operations research or other relevant
field.
- Strong knowledge of Forecasting methodologies and optimization
techniques .
- Strong analytical capability and statistics skills.
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of SAS or other statistical software.
- Self-Driven with a passion for solving complex business problems
using applied statistics. | c****m
