exploring the new opportunities in SAAS area and angel investing. I am a

I am working with a couple of startups on SAAS solutions and looking for a
partner for the programming side of the business.
What I am looking for:
1. High integrity, positive, driven, love to learn.
2. 3 years or more experience or some proven track record in APP development
, web programming, machine deep learning.
3. It is better if you are in Chicago area, but I am open to conversation if
you are not.
4. Part time or full time

发帖数: 32 | 3 I talked with one of person who reached out to me yesterday. He's working
with one of those huge companies in silicon valley about machine learning
and big data. It was a very good conversation and we created a plan to do
some test run together.
AI will disrupt every industry in next 10-15 years. It will impact humanity
bigger than electricity and the Internet. We are here at the dawn of AI, so
many opportunities. Feel like talking about the Internet at 1993.
In order to participate this wave, we will need the resources like business
idea, industry resource who has a lot of data, talent on business operation,
backend deep learning expert, frontend web/app designer, marketing, initial
funds and following venture funds. I have many pieces already, the
technical pieces are missing for me. But even for the areas that I have
resources already, I still want to get more people involved in, since there
just so many opportunities out there.
It is much better if we are in the same city, but since we are just started,
it is ok for us just participate from different places. In the worst
situation, we will waste some time, but I can guarantee everyone participate
will learn something out of this.

your expertises are and what's your passion. At least we can bounce some

it to the real work. but I need more business knowledge to find the buyers.
my idea is develop an EMR system, and in this system we can integrate AI and
other machine learning algorithms. This could be the final product for this
type of business.

I've more concerns. Especially, I'm on H1B.
My major was natural language processing. And I've worked on it for 2 years.
1 year on the linguistic part, 1 algorithm.
I've 7 years experiences in all. Later I found NLP and ML no challenging
work on application level, and in most cases they
are not directly beneficial for a start up. I switched
to software development. I worked on billion level data, one of my service
get 1,000+ call per second on hourly average.

第一，你很难拿到数据。医疗数据很敏感，任何使用的公司都要符合规范，每个员工都
要training，非常复杂成本很高。
第二，医院诊所都在用大公司的emr，ehr系统，这些大公司已经开发了很多类似的系统
给各个不同的用户。

发帖数: 32 | 11 Cool! My IT company can sponsor H1-B if we start to gain some traction with
the new startup.
I think ML is only useful right now with big data set, especially with the
dataset that with clear feedback. Many algorithms and platforms are already
become opensource, very difficult to have a breakthrough there.
I am talking with a couple of resources from legal SAAS, medical IOT with
large, but not huge amount data set. Still trying to figure out the exact
business model and doing the market research about the potential.
In order to for a SAAS/Deep Learning business to become successful,
following things are needed:
1. Good Idea.
2. A lot of Data.
3. Front end and back end programming
4. Marketing/sales
5. Business management
6. Funding
I can take care of 4,5,6 myself. I do have a couple of ideas, can't say they
are the best ideas, but we can start from there.
Since I am an angel investor working with about group of 150 angel investors
, I want to start/invest multiple companies for multiple good ideas. So if
someone has any of those 6 resources, I am open to talk more since there are
a lot of opportunities waiting for us to take action.
The key is to figure out what you have, what you want, how can we create a
win-win situation.

所有的新创公司开始的主意都有问题，在不断的试错中快速的调整方向是成功的关键。
关于这两个问题，比如说：中国的机会会多一些，因为监管不是很完善，二三线的医院
还没有完全信息化。另外，打不过敌人，可以加入，可以和现有的emr,ehr系统连接，
做功能的增强插件。主攻一些具体的学科或疾病，做小而精的项目，而不是大而全。事
在人为，如果你找到合适科主任，系主任，以科研的名义，不是不可以拿到数据。当年
中共打天下的时候，从十几个人开始，农村包围城市，最后也夺取了政权。
创业之所以难，就是因为要去走一条没有人走或走的人很少的路，问题和失败是正常的
，只有不断的解决问题才有可能成功。当然就算很努力的试，多数的初创公司还是失败
了，但是如果不去想，不去试，那是绝对不会成功的。

发帖数: 9344 | 13 做研究不一样，以前我一起工作过的一个startup CTO一年前回学校做教授去了，主要
就是因为学校的资源。
我不是说做这个不可能成功，我是说很难。特别是这个圈子小，利益方很多，除非你在
某方面很有名望，否则很难脱颖而出。
