dramatic UI change from 2003. veri hard to dinf the familiar functions,
menus, shortcut keys.
ANNOYING "Ribon". very hard to navigate.
is there any way to install/activate the old UI (such as 2003) on 2007?
if not, i will plan to remove 2007 and install 2003 back.

compatibility is an issue.

发帖数: 1200 | 4 这个 ribon UI 好像是不能撤销的。刚开始用word 2007的时候总是要 search google.
现在稍微习惯些了，但也没觉得比 word 2003 效率高。
倒是觉得 PowerPoint 2007 不错，vector drawing 功能增强很多现在画图基本都可以
在PowerPoint 里搞定，不需要借助 illustrator 了(当然可能我的需求比较简单)。

maybe i am just a beginner user. but to write a book, i can easily
locate every single thing i need easily on the UI. it is much better
than to remember 100+ functionalities in the cascaded menus which
office 2003 does.
the big issue is that 2007 use docx and pptx which is not fully
backward compatible. other than that, things go fluently as far
as i bought it. UI is an attraction to me.
maybe it will work for you after a period of time. good luck!

Access Toolbar. 2007 is more stable. Good luck |

实在搞不懂微软为什么搞个这么个新的格式出来。

for example, a professional template (publisher gave me that one) is
about 150kB, save as 97-2003 compatible would increase the size to
about 3.5MB...
but i really really love 2007. writing with it is a much more pleasant
experience than 2003 :)
