REAL MADRID TARGET NIGEL DE JONG

NIGEL DE JONG is a shock £20m target for Real Madrid.
Bernabeu boss Jose Mourinho sent scouts to watch the Dutch midfield hard man
in Man City’s Champions League game against Villarreal.
Nigel de Jong has emerged as a shock £20million target for Real Madrid.
Real boss Jose Mourinho sent scouts to watch the Dutch midfield hardman in
Manchester City’s recent Champions
League game in Spain against Villarreal.
De Jong, 26, was disappointed when talks on a new contract at the Etihad
Stadium stalled in
the summer.
Negotiations on a new four-year deal are due to resume in the new year, with
a view to De Jong signing an improved contract at the end of the season.
But Real are now watching De Jong, a £17m signing from Hamburg.
Mourinho is a big fan of holding midfi elders and his current pair are Xabi
Alonso and Germany’s
Sami Khedira.
Alonso is already acquainted with De Jong – he was the victim of a chest-
high challenge by the Dutchman in last
year’s World Cup Final.
Meanwhile, QPR will join Blackburn and West Brom in a move for Manchester
City defender Nedum Onuoha in January.
QPR boss Neil Warnock is ready to offer £3.5m for the ex-England Under-
21s star – out of favour at City.
Onuoha, 25, has started only three Premier League games since Roberto
Mancini took charge in
December 2009.
He gained extra top-flight experience on loan last season at Sunderland but
has been stuck on the fringes since returning.
The Academy graduate has made one appearance this season, in the Carling Cup
win over Birmingham
in September.
Onuoha was included in Mancini’s Premier League and Champions League squads
. But he looked like
missing out after being left out of the first-team pre-season tour and ended
up making the cut after a loan to Everton
fell through.
Warnock said: “I’ve got a list of four or five players in the transfer
window that I would really like.
“If I get them it’s going to strengthen our squad considerably.”

Where was this mentioned even in that UK site? Madrid sent a scout
watching a ManC game played in SPAIN. What's special about that?
The same article mentioned his negotiation will start. Just some
cheap rumor thrown by his agent.
