h the club on Thursday.
Ljungberg, available on a free transfer after leaving MLS side Chicago Fire,
has been training with Celtic this week as manager Neil Lennon looks to str
engthen his squad.
Celtic have confirmed the player is available to face Rangers in the Old Fir
m derby at Ibrox on Sunday.
Ljungberg, 33, has spent the majority of his career in England, having playe
d for Arsenal and West Ham for a decade after leaving Halmstad in 1998, but
he has more recently spent time in the US with Seattle Sounders and Chicago
Fire.
The player will be officially unveiled as a Celtic player at a press confere
nce on Friday morning. |
