It's about time to switch our focus to Mount Washington.
We are aiming at the weekend of April 16.
As usual, the plan is to stay at the Inn in Gorham on Friday night and
hiking up to the Tuckermans/MW next morning. Depending on the situation (
weather, shopping or even the desire going up to the Hillmans Highway), we
can either ski at Wildcat all day ($39) or half day ($20).
The whole trip cost will be in the range of $ $95~110/person including hotel
and Wildcat skiing but excluding gas, beer and food. Royalty Inn currently
has room available at $69/night plus tax for 2 people/room. For 3 people/
room, add $10 extra.
Please let me know how many will go.

carry your ski/board in your backpack,it will be fine.

back, which will be good enough I hope. I will need to try it before I go.
But a hiking bag will make the journey more pleasant for sure; I am just too
cheap to buy one. My hiking shoes (not even boots) are Columbia, $49.99.
Cloth is what I normally wear for skiing. Just make sure you have good socks
and cloth to keep you warm; going into hypothermia is one of the last
things you would want. Then food and water; make sure you can eat them when
they are cold, cuz it will be cold.
I go with bear minimum (another word is that I am cheap), but you can get
more info on what to bring and to expect from that website. |

还是迅速地定了好。
看到一些back country带avy control feature的包，真cool，价钱也不菲，想想还是
算了，以后要玩再说吧。For now, follow the wisdom of devilsponge, bare
minimum is the key word.

Most people will change the hiking boot to ski boot when they arrive the
ranger station, which is about 20 min hike to the bottom of the Tuckerman
bowl.
When the ski down, it's possible to ski all the way to the parking lot in a
different ski trail.
