a while ago I was promised that after this project is over I would be
working on a project in shanghai, in a managerial/team leader position
to bring some of my expertise to a project that consists mostly of
local engineers. Today I was just told by my manager that because
of future re-org stuff and cost(BLAH), a few senior managers in
the group don't think I need to physical be there to lead and supervise.
Obviously personally I want to be there, but I think professionally
