Y*********i 发帖数: 215 | 1 You might already be aware of the Microsoft “Move It” challenge starting
from May 2nd. Instead of “move” in the same way as others, such as jogging
, hiking, biking, etc, I decided to “move” in a traditional way and
created a Taichi “move it” team. All points earned by the team will
support the Special Olympic Game. You can find the team by searching the “
Taichi” on the website. Starting from next week( May 2nd, 2016), we will do
regular Taichi exercise on the main campus. Please feel free to show up and
let’s do Taichi together!
Time: 12:15pm - 12:45pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday noon.
Starting from: May 2nd 2016
Time: 12:15pm - 12:45pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday noon.
Location:
Commons, Studio E, F, G, H, building 112, 113, 114, 115, etc.
initial location is the basketball court beside the Studio H . We might
change to other location later so we can practice in case of raining
Volunteer leads: 3
Building 40, 41,42, etc.
Location is the courtyard in front of the cafe between buildings 40 and 41.
Volunteer leads: 5
We will add more location after finding volunteers to lead the exercise, the
next one is around building 40, 41, 42.
What to be expected:
• This is purely a leaded group practice of Taichi. i.e. Nobody will
do or be responsible of any sort of teaching.
• We will practice the traditional Yang style form( Chapter one and
two on Monday, Chapter one and two on Wednesday and the whole set on Friday)
.
If you don’t know Taichi, you can practice by following other people. The
movement is slow so should be able to copy what others doing
If you know Taichi but don’t know this form, you can either following
others or you can practice your own form. After all the key is not which
form we practice but we “move”
• The practice will start strictly on time. If someone is late, no
need to apologize, just join and practice
• It will always be at least one person to lead the practice. We have
3 volunteers( on the cc. line of the email) for the Studio H location. They
will be on different corners so people have someone as reference when
turning to different direction.
At last, let’s challenge and start to “move”!!! |
