Officer Peter Liang, who shot and killed an unarmed man in a New York
housing project stairwell in 2014, was found guilty of manslaughter and
official misconduct Thursday. Liang faced trial in Brooklyn on five counts
in the death of 28-year-old Akai Gurley: manslaughter, assault, reckless
endangerment, criminally negligent homicide and official misconduct.
Sentencing is set for April 14.
