The w7 instruction says, it needs "Your original, valid tax return(s) for
which the ITIN is needed.". Does this mean that I have to do my tax prior to
apply W7? |

发帖数: 2852 | 2 你把1040填好，ITIN或者SSN那一栏空着，一起寄给他。我不知道是不是要像正式报税
一样把W2,1099之类的收入表格都一起寄，反正寄了没坏处。
等他批准了你的ITIN，你再正式报税。当然正式报税不需要跟你先前申请ITIN的那个
1040一致，可以改动。

发帖数: 1179 | 4 我最近也在折腾这个。现在知道的最简单的办法就是还向以往一样用turbo tax报税，
然后只能打印出来，再手动填好W7，带到bellevue的那个IRS办公室去。
如果不这样，就必须把护照原件寄到德州austin那个IRS去，然后他们过2个月再寄回来。

hand over your passport right there.
I just went to the Bellevuie IRS office and got all of my questions answered.

don't certify passports, particularly for B1/2 visa holder. Is it true?
