您好！感谢您参加西雅图华人反暴力和种族主义示威组委会经由Seattle Chinese
Volunteer Association注册机构召集的大西雅图反暴力和种族主义示威集会。如果已
经报名或在现场报名，处于前400人以内将获得合法参加本次游行示威集会的权利。请
仔细阅读后面的游行示威规章，游行示威集会的时候遵守一切公园和各级政府的规章制
度。游行示威集会过程有礼有节，在尽量不影响市民生活的同时，大声喊出我们抗议的
心声。
我们预计组织者志愿者会手持美国国旗，请大家配合指挥行动。为了避免被歪曲，我们
强烈不希望游行示威中出现中国国旗或其他政治性组织旗帜，如果不遵守会被劝离甚至
交由警察处理。如果您有美国国旗，则建议带上。我们也准备了数量不多的小美国国旗
，发给先到的小朋友。在游行过程中，我们不建议呼喊任何带有China或者Chinese等政
治敏感的口号或标语。我们的目的是尽量争取普通美国民众的认同，防止被媒体抹红，
以期最大可能程度地惩治肇事者ABC和Jimmy Kimmel。
另外请大家熟悉我们要呼喊的一些口号，我们也准备了标语和传单。传单的内容大家也
请熟悉一下，因为可能有媒体随机地采访任何一个示威者。要记住基本上所有的英文媒
体可能都是来找茬的。那些记者通常非常聪明，知道如何提问给您下圈套，如果不是很
确定，就可以简单宣讲一些传单上的内容。回答记者和跟路人宣讲的时候，要有礼有节
，一定不要跟对方发生争论，要淡化这个事件的是针对中国人的，标语口号最好都不要
带China/Chinese，强调其本质是利用孩子和娱乐秀来宣扬暴力，挑动美国国内的族裔
矛盾。发传单只发给给有兴趣的路人，千万不要硬塞，如果发现传单被扔在地上，请捡
起来放在路边回收垃圾箱或者自带的袋子里。
本次游行示威专门安排了适合孩子的活动，我们欢迎家长带孩子们参加。开始的游行是
在人行道上进行的，我们游行是转公园马路人行道一圈，不会过马路。但我们组织者无
力对孩子进行特殊照顾，对游行时孩子的安全无法负责。所以游行的时候请家长自己照
顾好孩子，避免出现意外。游行之后孩子会在公园里面指定的地方，参加反对暴力种族
主义等的教育活动。
如果您的摄影录像的设备或技术不错，请带上设备别忘了电池充电内存卡，手机充好电
备用。可以预计我们的游行集会会有很多精彩的镜头视频值得记录和回味。
我们预计与强大顽固的种族偏见势力的斗争是长久的，我们要顺利成功地完成这一次活
动，成立我们自己的华人政治团体，支持本地的华人民意代表。这样的游行集会肯定还
会有重复，但是这第一次非常地重要，我们在配合全美119游行的时候，一定要不出任
何差错，让对手无法抹黑我们的行动，这样才好以后持续不断的出击。我们希望大家齐
心协力，促成此次游行示威的成功进行。

游行示威日程安排：

天气1点前应该没雨，后面到2点是阴天，也可能有零星小雨。我们应该有两三个大棚子
，老人孩子用差不多了。

10AM - 11：30AM 器材和设备组到场搭设防雨棚，孩子的桌子椅子，布置会场和家庭活
动区；雨篷、桌子椅子运到东南角kids活动区，接待和游行起点终点在最北边临近停车
场的地方
11：30 - 12：00PM check in, gathering， greeting，social, 以及最后的器材和会
场检查；
接待和游行起点终点在最北边临近停车场的地方
12：00 - 12：45PM 带领所有参加者绕公园逆时针游行一周（外圈）或两周（内圈），
并向行人发传单。我们走人行道的方案是：两三人一排，家长负责自己的孩子，从北边
接待点出发，往西走4街，到100街左转往南，然后到1街往东，然后到Bellevue Way往
北比较繁华的街上（这里很热闹可能要走松散一点），需要多派人发传单。然后到四街
左转往西，回到接待点。总长度大概一迈左右。
主会场时间安排
12：45 - 1：00 PM 所有人回到接待点后，孩子列队前往kids区活动。主持人和寒江等
组委开场白
1：00p - 1：30PM 邀请的政界或民间团体负责人讲话 ，交替穿插群众演讲
1：３０ - ２：００PM 寒叔讲一下华人政治社团的构想，群众自发上台讲一下这个问
题自己的看法，结束集会。如果有人希望继续探讨华人政治社团的问题，我们可以移步
一家餐厅吃饭讨论。
家庭活动区安排：
１２：30－１２：45ＰＭ 等待孩子聚集，向小孩们讲叙聚会的目的
12.45pm - 2pm 从以下几个方面搞一些活动：
1. 反偏见, 反歧视(Anti-Prejudice and Anti Racism)
2. 反欺负(Anti- Bully)
3. 人权以及捍卫公民权利的历史 (Human Right and History of Civil Right
Movement)
4. 西雅图华人捍卫自己权利与不公平作斗争的榜样： 陈宜禧
5. 积极的捍卫自己的权利的方法 (Proactivism)
形式有看小短片， 读小文章， 集体讨论， 鼓励孩子发表感想和意见，做游戏， 做手
工，画画等等， 会有小奖品发放。
２：００PM集会结束，收拾用具垃圾。
Rules and Notes 游行集会规章:
The rally organizers reserve the rights to expel any one from the rally and
even to call police to enforce the action. 、游行组织者有权驱逐任何游行参与
者，甚至交给警察处理。
It is prohibited to place any civilians into an active intersection to
control vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
Attendances at all times during the event must maintain a 20-foot wide fire
lane for emergency vehicle access.
All amplified sound must remain within the limits of the Seattle Noise
Ordinance (Seattle Municipal Code (SMC) Chapter 25.08) at all times during
the event.
No vendor is permitted in the event.
Alcoholic beverages cannot be kept, sold, served or consumed in public
places.
No commercial advertising is permitted in the event.
Banners or signs may not be attached to trees, benches, or bushes.
All drink and food containers need to be recycled.
All attendances shall clean the event locations and surrounding area of all
garbage resulting from the event, including bagging and removing the garbage
from all such areas following the event.
All organizers and helpers shall not discriminate against any person because
of disability, race, religion, color, sex, national origin, ancestry, or
age in the admission to, access to, or operations of its programs, services,
or activities pertaining to the event.
All attendances shall comply with all applicable park, city, state and
federal laws, rules and regulations.
All attendances shall indemnify and hold the organizers and helpers harmless
from any and all claims, damages, expenses, loss or liability for which he
or she is responsible under law resulting from willful or negligent acts or
omissions in the event or activity.
DISCLAIMER: All persons attending the rally organized by Seattle Chinese
Volunteer Association and Seattle Chinese American Against Violence and
Racism Committee must sign this disclaimer in order to participate.

An invitation to our community to join the Seattle Against Violence and
Racism Rally
Dear Friend,
We are writing this letter to invite you attend the Seattle Against Violence
and Racism Rally at Bellevue Downtown Park between 11:30am-2pm on Saturday,
November 9th, 2013. The rally is organized to protest against ABC network
Jimmy Kimmel promoting violence and racism in his show, and admitting no
wrongdoing in their apology blaming people on not treating the genocide
talks as “entertainment”.
On the Oct. 16 ABC pre-recorded Jimmy Kimmel Live show, Mr. Kimmel was
manipulating a kid to say “kill everyone in China”, and commenting “that
is an interesting idea”. Later he revisited the topic by asking “Should we
allow the Chinese to live?” in a supremacist tone to draw laughter.
As a host of show airing on public channel, Mr Kimmel should have known
talking about killing a race could never be acceptable. What the worse was,
it went beyond and implied to the public that it’s "entertaining" for
adults to teach kids talking about killing to resolve problems. We all know
in recent years, our nation has suffered from waves of campus violence. Mr.
Kimmel’s show poses great danger to our peaceful society by promoting
violence among kids in his “entertaining” way. It has to be investigated
and terminated.
ABC officials claimed in their private apology that it was “unscripted
comment” and they thought the show was “entertainment”. Kimmel also
remarked it was “weird” that people were angry with the incident and
suggested it was “cultural reasons” that Chinese American thought genocide
talking wasn't funny. These apologies served more of denying and
humiliation rather than sincere ones.
As a nationwide media, ABC network should have fulfilled its obligation in
eliminating burgeoning criminal notions. Members of the U.S. congress have
signed a letter demanding ABC to apologize sincerely and act to ensure
racially insensitive sentiment not tolerated at any level of the
organization. We had rallied in Seattle on last Friday to request ABC a
formal apology to admit their wrongdoings, yet received no response. To
support the notion from the U.S. congress, the demonstrating to ABC will be
continued till a sincere apology given with substantial corrective actions
taken.
We, like all other American living in and contributing to this country, love
this land of freedom, peace and democracy. The constitution granted us
rights to demonstrate against any conduct that promoting violence and racism
in any forms. We care less about crazy people airing in TV to kill people
in another country. We care about building a peaceful and safe community we
live in. That is why we stand out again and voice against violence, hatred
and racism in public. We hope you will join us to demand clean, unbiased,
and health entertainment in media. Specifically, we solicit your support of
requesting ABC network a formal and sincere apology all American, admitting
their misconduct, and establishing polices to prevent airing any violence
and racism content in future. Let's work together to build a healthy and
prosperous society in our nation with liberty and justice for all.

What are you protesting / What’s the matter?
On a recent talk show, from the channel ABC, the host asked a group of
children to discuss how
to resolve US’s debt crisis. A boy said “to kill everyone in China”. The
host commented the idea as
“interesting” , and further asked all the children “"Shall we allow
Chinese to live?" We are deeply
offended by this show. It is violence, racist, and lacking basic respect to
human lives.
I’m sorry to hear that, but you know not all kids are well disciplined. You
can’t take it too
seriously.
We feel offended not because a 6-year old said some terrible things. Kids
may not know what it means,
but the host himself is an adult. And those who put it on air are certainly
not kids! This is a pre-recorded
TV show! By broadcasting it to public, ABC is literally endorsing this
violence and racist idea. That’s why
we are asking ABC, not the kid, to issue a FORMAL apology.
I know Jimmy Kimmel Show. I’m sure this is only meant to be a joke. Why you
are reacting so
strongly?
I would NEVER joke with my kids about killing; I’m sure the same will apply
to you. When adults think it
is a harmless joke and laugh about it, kids will take it as something
acceptable. We all know kids like to
play practical jokes, right? Why? They think it’s funny and laughable. Can
you imagine what will happen
when they think killing is a joke? Haven’t we had enough campus violence,
bully, and campus shooting?
What are your demands then?
1. ABC should issue a PUBLIC apology to all Chinese and all people who loves
peace.
2. ABC should shut down this show.
3. ABC should publish specific procedures to avoid this from happening again
.

I’m not sure where and how you heard about it. But the only so called “
apology” he made in his show,
is something like “well, today is a wired day. There are a lot of people
are upset with me today.” He said
“I’m sorry I apologize.” But then immediately, he added “I’m here to
entertain people”. What kind of
apology is that? For me it’s not an apology, it is HUMMILIATION.
But I heard he made a very sincere apology at LA.
Do you mean that he came out of his studio and apologized to the protesting
crowd? Yes I did see it on
YOUTUBE, and yes, it was a lot better than the one on his show. But the
problem is, he offended me in
a public program. He can’t just apologized IN PRIVATE to a group of people
and think he’s done, only
because those people and I share the same ascendance. We want a PUBLIC
apology. Not just from him,
but also from ABC network.
You want to take the entire program off the air? Isn’t that too much? What
about free speech?”
We absolutely love free speech and the freedom of this country. But everyone
knows there are limits to
free speech. Can you say “I have a bomb with me” at the airport? Jimmy
Kimmel’s show promotes racial
hatred and incites violence. He is willing to offend and intimidate an
entire ethnic group for a few cheap
laughs. Clearly, this type of behavior has no place anywhere in this country
