帖出来与大家分享:
1)刷漆(室内, 4个bedroom 包括一个套房, Living room, Family room, kitchen,
dinning room, entrance, high ceiling): 一共找了三个公司,
a.第一个要价$1500不包油漆 (油漆大概$600)
b.第二个要价$2500不包油漆
c.第三个要价$5200包油漆
最后选的第一个,开始有点担心便宜没好货,干完之后还是满意的.如果有兴趣,我可以把
他的电话POST 出来.
2)地毯
a.开始朋友介绍一个,价钱貌似OK,但是地毯的质量较差,很薄,很稀,大概30 Ounces左右
.此人美其名曰地毯太厚太密了不好,脏东西吸不出来!
b.从Craigslist上找了两个,都说便宜,但地毯也是太薄
c.Home Depot and LOWS 的DEAL 不错,$2.09/sf, 大概 80 Ounces 左右 and good
density. If you buy underlay ($0.55 to %0.90 per sf) from them, the
installation for the whole house will be $97 or free depending on the timing
(stair and removing old carpet extra)
d.Great Floor quotes me $2.85 with 8 Pounds underlay plus $97 for
installation. The carpet is slightly better (80 Ounces) than the ones from
Home Depot and LOWS (particularly, the carpet backing is better for sure).
The charge for stairs is almost half of the price of Home Depot and LOWS.
e.The carpet from either Home Depot, LOWS or Great Floor is much better than
the contractors’ and the price will be cheaper, or at least the same.
3)Hardwood Floor
a.Lumber Liquidation has the best deal
b.If you are handyman, the unfinished utility oak might be the best deal you
can find in the market. It is $0.98/sf but you need to buy 30% extra for
bad pieces. It is still good deal! I’m going to install this utility oak in
next couple of weeks in my house, if you are interested in watching/

发帖数: 147 | 13 最后选的是 Great Floor, 但是他的 Deal 刚好10月底结速.LOWS的DEAL也不错,而且有
两种地毯可以选,80 OUNCE $1.99/sf, 60/50 OUNCE $1.59/sf.
I have seen the first carpet installer mentioned in my article who was
working for a Chinese in Redmond. The carpet used is so thin but the total
price he asked is more than Home Depot and LOWS.
