W2 contract
BoxOfficeMojo.com is the leading box office news and information site, and
we need a PHP / MySQL expert to update its infrastructure. Over six months,
you'll work alongside the engineers of IMDb.com, and be responsible for
optimizing the site, developing a new site administration interface,
evaluating it from a security standpoint and addressing any issues found,
improving its scalability and monitoring, updating its third party
dependencies, and migrating its underlying data to a more modern database.
You'll also document its internals, and do some general tidying up of its
code.
We need someone who's a self-sufficient PHP expert, and familiar with
optimizing MySQL databases on live websites.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years of software development experience in PHP / MySQL on
production websites
• Experience in a Unix/Linux environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
