Sr. Product Manager

market that are designed to meet the diverse needs of people.
Summary:
Our Senior Product Manager will be key member of small new team that is
leading our entry into Web services. The position will have broad scope to
define the priorities for and lead the implementation of the global services
roadmap to enhance the value of our devices for consumers and mobile
operators.
Responsibilities:
- Define product requirements for our Web services and the Web site
- Secure engineering, operations and executive management commitment to
deliver product requirements
- Joint roadmap planning with our client software teams to bring new Web
services to Android and Windows Phone devices
- Develop business cases for new revenue-generating services that utilize
proven and new business models
- Select and manage technology partners who can enable and enhance our Web
services portfolio
Experience/Education:
- BA or BS degree, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science
- 5-8 years experience as a Senior or Principal Product Manager or Product
Planner
- Designing and implementing consumer Web services, e-commerce Web sites and
/or multi-screen digital media/entertainment content stores
- Writing MRDs, PRDs, FRDs and communicating customer wants/needs to
technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Configuring and deploying e-commerce catalog management, merchandising,
order processing, fulfillment and customer support systems (e.g. ATG,
Digital River, GSI Commerce, IBM WebSphere Commerce, Intershop, Oracle, SAP)
- Selecting and integrating credit card processing, payment gateway, risk
management and fraud protection solutions (e.g. Amazon Payments, American
Express, Chase Paymentech, CyberSource, Digital River, Google Checkout,
Global Payments, MasterCard, PayPal, Visa)
- Subject matter expertise in compliance with international laws and
regulations relating to payment card industry, sales tax and VAT, user data
privacy
- Delivering products built with RESTful Web service architectures, Web
technologies including HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, MooTools, YUI,
XML, JSON, Java, Ruby on Rails
- Knowledgeable about popular Web service “mashup” APIs like Facebook,
Twitter, Google Maps, Yahoo! Pipes
- Mobile industry experience not necessary, but experience building Internet
-based client/server software or services that are sold into device
manufacturers and network operators very helpful
- Familiarity with Android and Windows Phone SDK capabilities and
limitations
- Regular international travel required
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese helpful |
